Dr. Grillo’s experience spans nearly three decades, and he’s built a wealth of knowledge and expertise about wellness and dentistry. He served as a dentist in the U.S. Navy, caring for Marines, pilots, sailors, and their families in South Carolina and Japan. After dental school, Dr. Grillo served U.S. Marines and Navy pilots and their families in Japan for several years. He then returned to Washington to grow a busy family practice caring for patients of all ages. He provides limited clinical care today, but he’s developed a reputation as a thought leader, strategist, and content developer for the profession.
He works closely with dentists, manufacturers, and vendors to develop solutions that help people thrive. He’s also a respected coach to dentists and has led the live Dental Practice Journey Workshops to help his colleagues develop their careers.
Educaction
Dr. Greg studied at the University of Washington, where he received a bachelor's degree in psychology in 1991 with Honors. He was accepted to the University of Washington School of Dentistry and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1995.
His service as a dentist in the U.S. Navy included many hours of advanced education, primarily through courses at Bethesda Naval Hospital. He’s also taken hundreds of hours of advanced education throughout his private practice years to raise his level of service to patients.
Dr. Grillo developed a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and has taken many technical courses that support beauty and function. He also enjoys sleep health and working with people to discover the benefits of better sleep using oral appliances. He also has helped countless people manage headaches and understand the links between oral and general health. He currently serves on several advisory and editorial boards, where he continues to learn while contributing to the profession.
